Following a major restoration programme, Newhaven Fort reopened with a series of immersive exhibitions exploring the site's military history and the communities connected to it. The galleries transform historic casemates into engaging visitor spaces while celebrating the fort's remarkable heritage.
MJS Group carried out the specialist exhibition fit-out, manufacturing and installing bespoke joinery, scenic setworks, conservation-grade showcases, interpretive graphics and integrated AV elements throughout the galleries. The scheme required careful integration of modern exhibition infrastructure within the existing Victorian structure, preserving the character of the building while delivering a contemporary visitor experience. Working alongside specialist suppliers and the wider design team, MJS ensured every element was completed to the highest standards, creating dynamic exhibition spaces that bring Newhaven Fort's stories vividly to life. The completed galleries now provide an engaging destination that combines historical authenticity with contemporary interpretation, encouraging visitors to explore the site's unique military legacy.
